Delegation of Nghe An province visited Ho Chi Minh City on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and national reunification
A delegation of Nghe An province, led by Ms. Vo Thi Minh Sinh - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, visited Ho Chi Minh City from April 18 to 20, 2025.


The visit took place on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day. Mr. Nguyen Van Dung, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, delivered a welcoming speech, emphasizing the importance of this event in deepening awareness of history and valuable lessons from the struggle for national liberation.

During the meaningful journey towards the origin, the delegation visited many important historical sites in Ho Chi Minh City. The members went to Ben Nha Rong - where Uncle Ho left to find a way to save the country, offered incense at the statue of President Ho Chi Minh in front of the headquarters of the City People's Committee, visited the Independence Palace - the symbol of the historic victory on April 30, 1975, and explored the heroic land of Cu Chi tunnels.

In addition to paying tribute to history, the delegation also experienced Saigon at night on a double-decker bus, toured the city by metro, and participated in exchanges during the event celebrating the 50th anniversary of Saigon's liberation. Through these experiences, the delegation witnessed a renewed and modern image of Ho Chi Minh City after 50 years of liberation, with vitality and strong aspirations for development.
