The event attracted the participation of many important leaders, including Mr. Nguyen Van Vinh, Deputy Head of the Propaganda Department of Vinh Long Provincial Party Committee; Ms. Dang Huynh Mai, Former Deputy Minister of Education and Training, Vice President of the Union of Associations; along with Mr. Thai Van Tao, Vice President of the Union of Associations and Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Thu, Vice Principal of Pham Hung Political School, along with more than 60 delegates representing departments, branches, universities and colleges in the province.
At the workshop, delegates discussed many important issues, including the development of Vinh Long’s intellectuals over the past 50 years, the contributions of intellectuals to the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels, as well as the role of intellectuals in the fields of Propaganda and Mass Mobilization. In addition, opinions also focused on the responsibility of young intellectuals in developing their homeland and solutions to promote the role of Vinh Long intellectuals in the new era, the era of national development.
According to Associate Professor, Dr. Dang Huynh Mai - Vice President of the Federation, up to now, Vinh Long province has about 37,000 intellectuals, accounting for 3.6% of the population, with the rate of research staff reaching 18.7 people per 10,000 people. The workshop not only raised awareness for cadres, members, and intellectuals about the tradition of patriotism but also brought valuable lessons in the cause of building the country and the political system of Vinh Long intellectuals, at the same time creating opportunities for political activities of intellectuals belonging to the Federation system and affiliated organizations in the locality. |
