Hanoi farmers enthusiastically implement green agriculture model
|

Organic farming is increasingly asserting its important role in future agriculture, especially in urban areas like Hanoi, where consumers are increasingly interested in clean and safe food.
|
In Hiep Thuan commune (Phuc Tho), the Gen Xanh organic farm model has proven its effectiveness, helping to develop the local economy with organic vegetables priced many times higher than regular vegetables, such as organic guava priced at 40,000 VND/kg, but still in a state of "supply not meeting demand". This clearly shows the consumer trend of hunting for clean food and the increasingly improved public health.
The shift to organic farming not only brings economic benefits but also raises awareness of the harmful effects of chemicals in agriculture. Mr. Nguyen Duc Chinh, founder of Gen Xanh, emphasized that the biggest benefit is protecting human health and the land, helping farmers avoid the risk of poisoning from pesticides, while improving soil quality, increasing microorganisms and earthworms - signs of healthy soil, preventing erosion and degradation. However, the biggest problem today is that clean soil is not easy to find, and appropriate support policies on land and seed sources are needed to expand this model.
In the context of shrinking agricultural land, the multi-value agricultural model combining tradition and modern technology has become very suitable. In An Thuong commune, Mr. Nguyen Huu Hung has switched to growing black grapes combined with eco-tourism, creating stable income and experiential services for the community. Hanoi also encourages businesses to produce agriculture in the direction of organic, VietGAP and high technology, along with activities to guide the use of biological products and smart farming techniques to improve product quality, reduce chemicals and build a green, sustainable agriculture, protecting public health. |
