Minister of National Defense General Phan Van Giang and Senior Lieutenant General Trinh Van Quyet presented Certificates of Merit from the Prime Minister and the Minister of National Defense to collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements and representatives of 12 authors and groups of authors whose works won First Prize at the 25th Creative youth award in the army (source: People's Army Newspaper).
The 25th Creative Youth Award in the Army has 12 first prizes, 71 second prizes, 154 third prizes and 177 encouragement prizes. The works focus on many areas, such as operations, training, and cyber security in the direction of applying science and technology in the new situation.
Accordingly, 12 First Prizes were awarded to research and manufacturing for military operations such as: night vision binoculars, new generation artillery shell fuses, some types of guns and bullets, protection systems for armored vehicles, and bulletproof materials. The General Department of Defense Industry and the Military Industry - Telecommunications Group are the two leading units in the number of organizations and individuals winning First Prizes.
Over the past 5 years, the entire army has had hundreds of thousands of initiatives and research projects at the grassroots level, of which from 2020-2025, there were 3,476 projects by more than 10,000 authors competing at the army level. Most of the projects have been applied in practice, contributing to bringing hundreds of billions of VND in benefits to the army and improving the effectiveness of training and education. The diverse projects include fields, such as medicine and pharmacy, information technology, electronics, telecommunications, automation, and military training and education methods. Many initiatives propose new technical solutions and win high prizes at national competitions, contributing to building a regular, elite, and modern army.
At the 25th Military Youth Creative Awards, there were 820 works by 2,188 authors participating, most of which were of good quality and highly applicable. Minister of National Defense General Phan Van Giang affirmed that the Ministry of National Defense always creates conditions for young people to research, develop and apply science and technology. For sustainable development, the entire army needs to promote research linkages, form groups of highly qualified young people, integrate internationally, and at the same time, policies and remuneration need to be worthy of outstanding collectives and individuals with typical contributions. |
