On June 12, 2025, the Vietnamese Government issued Decision No. 1131/QD-TTg on the list of 11 strategic technology groups and related products, aiming to identify key areas that contribute to enhancing competitiveness, technological autonomy, and promoting science and technology development associated with national defense, security and sustainable growth.
On June 14, at the 9th Session, the 15th National Assembly voted to pass the Law on Digital Technology Industry with a consensus rate of up to 92.26% (441/445 votes). This is an important step forward, not only a specialized law, but also expected to be an important institutional lever for the national digital transformation process.

This list includes key technology groups, such as artificial intelligence (including Vietnamese language models, virtual assistants, specialized AI, AI analysis, and digital copy products in the fields of cloud computing, quantum, big data), blockchain (digital assets, blockchain network infrastructure, traceability systems), next-generation mobile networks (5G/6G) with devices, access network solutions, core networks, high-speed data transmission.
