On June 4, 2018, in Ninh Thuan province, Ninh Thuan Gelex Energy One Member Limited Company (the Vietnam Electric Equipment Joint Stock Company) held the groundbreaking ceremony of the project "Ninh Thuan Gelex solar power plant, with a capacity of 50 MWp, with total investment capital of 1,300 billion VND.

Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee has approved the policy to allow Vietnam Renewable Energy Joint Stock Company to invest in constructing Tra O Lake solar power plant in Chau Truc village, My Chau commune ( Phu My) Binh Dinh province.

Currently, Dak Lak province has identified the location, adjusted the scale and increased the number of solar power projects to 18 projects, with a total area of 7,494 ha to submit to competent authorities for approval for economic and social development in the area. Most of these projects are located in poorer land, poor agricultural and forestry production in districts, such as Ea Sup, Buon Don, Krong Bong.

On April 11, in Hanoi, Vietnam Association of Science and Technology for Energy Efficiency and Conservation, Department of Industry and Trade (MOIT) collaborated with Korea Integrated Heat and Power Corporation to organize a workshop on "Improving energy efficiency in industrial zone – Industrial cluster in Vietnam" in order to find optimal solutions for energy supply in industrial zones - industrial clusters and inhabitants.

Vietnam Electric Equipment Joint Stock Company (Gelex) has signed a cooperation agreement with PSTC (Thailand) to jointly implement the project of Gelex solar power plant, capacity of 50 MWp.

On March 22, in Hanoi, under the witness of Minister of Industry and Trade Tran Tuan Anh and Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Paik Un Gyu, Electricity of Vietnam (EVN) signed two Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the cooperation in building wind power plants, offshore electricity systems and in the electricity sector with South Korea's Electricity Corporation, Doosan Group and Electricity Corporation National power of Korea.

This is one of the information at the recent meeting between the Chairman of the Vietnam Electricity Corporation (EVN), Mr. Duong Quang Thanh with the delegation of the People's Committee of Binh Phuoc on the situation of electricity supply and construction investment of electric works in the province.
