In order to deploy new regulations in the field of intellectual property to agencies, units, organizations and enterprises in the city, contributing to improving the effectiveness of law enforcement; at the same time, helping organizations and individuals access and exploit the city's intellectual property development support policies, the Department of Science and Technology coordinated with the National Office of Intellectual Property of Vietnam - Ministry of Science and Technology to organize a training course on "Handling intellectual property infringement and implementing new documents in the field of intellectual property", in the morning of August 9, 2024, at Ninh Kieu 2 Hotel (No. 03 Hoa Binh Avenue, Tan An Ward, Ninh Kieu District, Can Tho City).

Within the framework of the 65th Session of the General Assembly of Member States of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), on July 12, 2024, in Geneva, Switzerland, took place a sideline workshop "Measuring and promoting innovation results at the local level: The role of local innovation indicators" to discuss tools and experiences in implementing the local level innovation index (Provincial Innovation Index - PII).

Within the framework of the task "Building and piloting an intellectual property management model for businesses and science and technology organizations in Can Tho city" (approved under Decision No. 342 /QD-UBND dated December 8, 2023 of Can Tho City Department of Science and Technology), Intellectual Property Science Institute collaborated with Can Tho Science and Technology Information Center to organize a training class on Intellectual property management for businesses in Can Tho City with the goal of providing theoretical knowledge and practical skills on intellectual property management from May 15-16, 2024, at the Center's hall.

This is an important activity prioritized for implementation in the Capacity Building Project for National Office of Intellectual Property Research, Training, Support and Consulting Center supported by WIPO IP Organization.

The program is implemented by the Vietnam Invention Association in collaboration with the Southern Office of the National Office of Intellectual Property, the Southern Office under the Ministry of Science and Technology and Service Development and Exploitation of Science and Technology Infrastructure Center from now until the end of the month June 2024.

On September 12, 2023, within the framework of implementing propaganda activities for the Intellectual Property Development Program of Can Tho City, the Department of Science and Technology organized a Conference to disseminate the Law amending and supplementing a Articles of the Intellectual Property Law and guidance on registration and development of intellectual property for nearly 100 officials working in the management and enforcement of intellectual property, intellectual property representation services, City departments, and agencies, districts, associations, institutes, schools and a number of businesses, law offices and related organizations and individuals.
