Applying ISO 56000 standard is becoming a trend and a key factor for businesses in Dong Thap to develop sustainably, improve productivity and integrate more deeply into the international market.
On August 2, 2024 in Hanoi, welcoming the delegation of the Policy Research Board of the Liberal Democratic Party of Japan (LDP) led by the Head of the Policy Research Board, Representative Tokai Kisaburo, Deputy Minister of Science and Technology (MOST) Bui The Duy expressed his belief that with the potential of the two countries, cooperation in the field of science, technology and innovation (S&T) will be promoted to develop even more strongly.
To serve the calculation of the Local Innovation Index (PII) in 2024, the local focal agency (Department of Science and Technology) needs to send data and supporting documents to the Ministry of Science and Technology through the Academy of Science, Technology and Innovation, and enter data, upload supporting documents (soft copy) to the online data collection form before August 30, 2024.
On July 12, 2024, in Ho Chi Minh City, the Institute of Intellectual Property Science (IPR) coordinated with Ho Chi Minh City Department of Science and Technology (DOST) to organize a Conference "Connecting intellectual property (IP) owners on the IPPlatform with the subjects of the innovation and startup ecosystem (IEC) in the Southern region."

He has successfully started a business with a gardening model combined with beekeeping for honey. After 3 years of developing the model, Mr. Binh has a stable income of tens of millions of VND/year.
This amendment to the Law on Science and Technology is expected to establish adequate legal corridors to promote the development of the national innovation system.
In the morning of August 5, the People's Committee of Go Vap District, Ho Chi Minh City launched the mini app "Go Vap District Smart - Digital Citizen Platform" and implemented a plan to pilot the "Digital Quarter" and "Digital Route" models in the area.

“Barcodes have been recognized as electronic labels that effectively support state management agencies in managing product and goods quality, providing a lot of practical information for consumers to make the right choice,” affirmed Mr. Bui Ba Chinh - Deputy Director in charge of the National Barcode Center - National Committee for Standards, Metrology and Quality.
