In the afternoon of August 10, 2023, Can Tho City Department of Science and Technology held a meeting to announce the Decision of the Director of Can Tho Department of Science and Technology on the re-appointment to the position of Director of Can Tho Technical Standards, Metrology, and Quality Center.

In the morning of August 16, 2023, Can Tho City Department of Science and Technology of held a mid-term review council meeting on the project "Application of biotechnology to select and breed cucumber, bitter melon and green bean with high yield and good quality for Can Tho city". The council was led by Mr. Truong Hoang Phuong - Deputy Director of Can Tho City Department of Science and Technology. The study is carried by PhD student Nguyen Trong Phuoc. The Mekong Delta High-Tech Agricultural Research Institute is an implementing agency.
