Chitosan combined with lauric acid, a breakthrough solution for preserving avocados from Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry: A recent study by scientists at Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry has opened up a potential direction in preserving avocados, a popular fruit but with a short shelf life. By using chitosan membrane combined with lauric acid, the shelf life of avocados has been doubled compared to the conventional method.
