Discovered fossils pearl-oyster "crisis"
Recently, the fishermen in the waters of Solent (UK) has accidentally picked up a giant pearl-oyster fossils dating back 100 million years and up to 10 times the normal one

After cleaning the outer thick layer of mud, the fishermen see clearly that's a giant fossil shell with horizontal width 17cm and 8 cm thick. Sense, a big pearl-oyster may contain a pearl inside as such a size of a golf ball, far exceeding the average diameter of 7 mm pearls normal. If so, the pearl will cost at least hundreds of thousands of pounds.

It is known that pearl has been brought to the Blue Reef Oceanographic Institute Aquarium, Hampshire so scientists determining the age based on growth rings on the shell, almost like how to determine the age of the tree.
Ms. Jenna, a spokesman for the Institute said: "It was discovered in fishing nets picked up from the Solent Sea. When the fishermen almost picked it up, bring clean and then look closely to realize it's a fossil. "
Currently, scientists are waiting for MRI scans to see inside the shell whether it actually contains pearls or not "After 100 million years, this pearl was completely petrified. Clearly, the opportunity to see such pearls 1/1.000.000 only. However, we still hope the upcoming MRI scan results, "she said Jenna.
