The conference summarized Vietnam Green Living Project and connected individuals and organizations involved in the project of testing phase.
According to the project coordinator board, the testing phase plays a very important role, helping to provide primary documents of the level of awareness and attitudes of consumers in relation to resource state are increasingly exhausted and the current living environment is heavily polluted.

Group’s members were provided information on the real status of current consumption; at the same time, they acquainted and learn about the conception of "Green Living," "sustainable consumption."
Finish the testing phase, the project coordinator group is responsible for research, building materials and approaches for consumer groups during widespread deployment stages will be in early 2014.
Technical Director of Vietnam Green Living Project Marcel Crul confirmed Delft University of Technology will be responsible for developing the methodology and all the materials to deploy the project.
From the study of the experimental group, the project team recognized the need to make better between information provision for participants in topics related to sustainability and the other issues change their behaviors in order to practice more sustainable consumption such as waste reduction, energy conservation, sustainable travel or lifestyle changes towards environmentally friendly, good for society as well as for their families and themselves.
The project not only provides knowledge but it also targets consumers to change their behaviors. Method of the project will focus on two aspects in order to improve the efficiency in parallel with the building approaches of consumer groups.
The project team also plans to publish handbook of sustainable consumption for consumers training materials for officers and units involved in the project.
The activities of the project of "Vietnam Green Living" (Vietnam GetGreen) was officially deployed from 11/2012, under the sponsorship of SWITCH ASIA Program, the European Union, with the goal of training 1.000 wise consumers is "important changes" for a sustainable future.
Presently, this project has finished the testing phase with 10 groups of consumers in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. This is the playground for teams to exchange, discuss and share experiences and knowledge on sustainable consumption. |
