Doan Hung grapefruit has appeared wherever and become special wherever no one knows, even the elders of the village also don’t know. And long time ago, the farmers have planted Doan Hung grapefruits in the garden. Some households grew a little that are three trees, some households grew a lot of Doan Hung grapefruits up to some hectares to sell.

Today, Doan Hung grapefruits have been bringing high income for peasants. The last months of year, grapefruits harvested. Type of grapefruits commonly sold at the garden or grapefruits sold for passengers with prices from 20.000-30.000 VND/ grapefruit. The rest of Suu grapefruit in Chi Dam sold on the occasion of Tet, the price from 60.000-70.000 VND / grapefruit. Thanks to planting a lot of special grapefruits, some households had incomes hundreds of millions VND per year.

Presently, Doan Hung grapefruit is branded specialty. On February 8, 2006, Intellectual Property Office issued a decision on registration of appellations of origin for the two products that are Suu Chi Dam grapefruit and Bang Luan grapefruit of Doan Hung. An appellation of origin is Doan Hung grapefruit, national assets, protected by Vietnam government for an indefinite period in the whole territory of Vietnam since issued day.
