Since April 2009, Tra Bong cinnamon had been granted certificate of trademark by Vietnam Department of Intellectual Property (under Ministry of Science and Technology).

In September 2013, Vietnam Record Book Centre continued to deploy a campaign to promote 2nd Vietnamese special cuisines 2013 and send nomination papers to Asian Record Organization for 10 well-known dishes and 8 Vietnamese specialty gifts, including Tra Bong cinnamon.

On July 30, 2013, Vietnam Department of Intellectual Property granted certificate of TOP 10 well-known trademarks including cinnamon trademark.

Asian record for Tra Bong cinnamon marked a great opportunity for cinnamon producers in Tra Bong district, creating jobs for thousands of workers. It is a foundation for special cinnamon business enterprises to export their products to the world.
