Climate Change
To enhance communication towards COP-21
In 2 days September 23 -24, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment collaborated with Embassy of the United Kingdom to organize a workshop on "Communication and awareness raising on climate change towards the COP-21" in Hanoi. The workshop shared useful information for the press agencies about climate change in Vietnam and response experiences of developed countries.

Attending the workshop, there were Mr. Do Nam Thang, Deputy Director, International Cooperation Department, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment; Mr. David Vincent, Head of the UK Energy and Climate Change Network in Southeast Asia; Mr. Fred Pearce, international journalists in the field of environment and Prof. Dr. Tran Thuc, Vice Chairman of Advisory Council of the National Committee on Climate Change

At the workshop, the speakers shared the impacts of climate change around the world and in Vietnam, the threat of climate change to Vietnam and national opinions in this matter; notify the National Strategy on Climate Change of Vietnam and the contents are prepared for the coming global summit on climate change (COP21). Journalists, representatives of media organizations have the opportunity to share their questions, concerns about the content of the propaganda for climate change in Vietnam and experience of the United Kingdom on this issue; developing countries have contributed how in the common efforts to cut greenhouse gas and etc.
