The United States will help Vietnam improve innovation
Science and technology is no longer limited in every country, every nation, it is the job of everyone. Promote cooperation on science and technology to contribute to the economy and society closer together.


Representatives of Vietnam Ministry of Science and Technology worked with the expert team of United States.

To celebrate 20 years of normalized diplomatic relations and 15 years of signing Vietnam and United States Agreement on Science and Technology , in the morning of November 2, Ministry of Science and Technology collaborated with Ho Chi Minh City National University to organize the 9th session Vietnam - USA Joint Commission of Science and Technology cooperation (JCM9).

The session reviewed the implementation of projects for scientific and technological cooperation between the two countries. Hence, consider the new proposals as well as provide orientations and plans of cooperation in the next stage. In addition, the session focused on exchanging experiences, updating of policies and new science and technology orientations of the two sides to find an appropriate mechanism, to further promote the cooperation in the field of science and technology.

The session takes place in 3 days, from December 2-4, JCM9 will discuss 5 main fields, including health science; agriculture; education and research exchange; conservation and environment science; metrology, hydrology and warming storms.

Mr. Jonathan Margolis, Deputy Assistant Secretary of United State for Science, Space and Health said, Ministry of Science and Technology is very important factor for the United States to promote a advanced world. Every challenge that we refer to security, employment and etc can  be solved through science and technology.

Mr. Nguyen Quan also hoped, through this session, the scientists will find much common points, build more cooperative relationship to jointly promote the development of science and technology between the two countries.
