Overview of the workshop

Taking place in two days, the participants of the workshop focused on discussing the main contents, such as electronic public administration service management system; The system of local e-government; Sharing administrative information systems; The system of electronic document management and smart cities.

Speaking at the workshop, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Phuc, Director of Department of Informatics, said today the strong development of information technology and communication transformed the working way of the Government, businesses and people. In the trend of integration and globalization today, countries are increasingly aware of the important role of electronic government (eGovernment). Developing eGovernment becomes the inevitable trend of the countries in the world.

Through the workshop, participants hoped to understand more about the e-Government of Korea, learned experiences, lessons in the construction and development of Korea's e-government, as well as open up the long-term cooperation program in the future.

Mr. Kim Jong Sik, who performed tasks adviser at Department of Informatics, connected bodies of two countries to organize the workshop, said: "This event will help Vietnamese government  and agencies, enterprise discuss on the issue of e-government in Vietnam."

From last September, Korea NIPA Information Technology Promotion Agencies nominated four advisers to work with Computerization Department - Ministry of Information and Communications in order to share experiences and Korea eGovernment technology; consultancy for e-Government development program of Vietnam Government.
