Building collective marks for Kim Son sedge

Though Kim Son sedge is now available in 20 countries in the world, it has yet to built a strong brands because of lack of collective marks.

Kim Son district (Ninh Binh) has over 5,000 businesses, households take part in planting, producing sedge for export.
Each year, the profit from producing sedge in total district estimated over 200 billions VND, helping to boost income, create jobs for the locality.
Kim Son Sedge products are very favorite in the foreign markets because it is made from natural materials, environmental friendly, durable and cheap.
To have a product that meets the export standards, it requires techniques not only in production but also in planting.
In the past few years, Kim Son sedge has yet to become a strong brands because of lack of collective marks. Therefore, Ninh Binh DOST collaborated with Center for Viet Rural Enterprise Development to build collective marks for Kim Son sedge.
On the coming time, when the collective marks finished, it could help raise competitiveness in the domestic and international markets.
