Export Promotion Council of India Electronics and Computer Software (ESC) collaborated with the Consulate General of India and Ho Chi Minh Computer Association (HCA) to hold a trade "India - Vietnam Information technology sector" on October 06, 2016  connecting 12 Indian IT companies with nearly 30 Vietnamese IT enterprises.

Vietnam - India strategic partnership is growing well, especially since FTA ASEAN - India bilateral trade agreement officially signed.

Especially, Vietnam visit of Indian Prime Minister in September 2016 also partly reflected the cooperation with the comprehensive development of the two countries in various fields, including the IT sector.

Ho Chi Minh Computer Association Chairman Chu Tien Dung said that India is among top 10 trading partners of Vietnam. Vietnam has great potential and advantages, is determined to become a software manufacturing and outsourcing country, reputation IT service in the international and the regional market. Over the years, the relationship of cooperation between India and Vietnam in the field of IT focused in the field of developing and training human resources.

With the cooperation of India businesses, Vietnam enterprises will have more opportunities to grow stronger, faster in the field of software industry and IT services.

India is leading software manufacturing and outsourcing country in the world. The software industry in Vietnam is growing at a rapid pace with revenue of $ 4.6 billion in 2015, while outsourcing service accounted for $ 3 billion.

IT sector and IT triggered services (IT -ITES) in India with a total turnover about 129.5 billion dollars from April 01, 2015 to March 31, 2016. A lot of large enterprises of top Fortune 500 and Global 2000 got products outsourced by India IT and ITES companies, according to the Consulate General of India.

Ho Chi Minh Computer Association representatives said Computer Association wishes to support, look for opportunities for Vietnam IT enterprises to connect, cooperate and develop trade with India, one of the leading IT countries in the world.
