The award consists of three awards, such as a silver broom, a golden broom and a diamond broom with socialization funds, held annually on the occasion of the Lunar New Year.

At the press conference introducing the award on October 11, Mr. Dang Vuong Hung, deputy editor of the Vietnam Journal of Environment and Urban Affairs, said that the event was held alternately in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, each year award for 40 typical persons.

Criteria for introduction and selection are environmental sanitation workers who are in difficult circumstances but have excellent performance in labor, workers’ families have many generations, or both husband and wife work collection and transportation of garbage; The workers have children overcome difficulties, study well, become new factors, have the effect of encouraging people and etc.
