Renewable energy development: needs more mechanisms
The development of renewable energy in the world is becoming increasingly strong. In Vietnam, many businesses have seen the potential and opportunities for development in this field. However, in order to attract enterprises involved in renewable energy development, the state needs to come up with more favorable mechanisms.

Mr. Pham Hong Son - General Director of General Electric (GE) in Vietnam - said that unlike traditional energy, renewable energy depends on natural conditions and Vietnamese is lucky to be blessed by the nature. We have enormous potential for renewable energy, especially wind power and solar power, which many countries in the region do not have. It is estimated, potential wind power on the mainland of Vietnam can generate tens of thousands of MW.

In particular, in renewable energy development, we can inherit and learn the lessons of previous countries, such as Japan, China, Australia and Thailand. In addition, in the past three to five years, the technology has changed dramatically, increased productivity about 20-25%, and cost of equipment has dropped, leaded to the cost of development of renewable energy is much lower than previous time. This is a good condition for us to develop renewable energy.

The same point of views, Mr. Dang Van Thanh, Chairman of Thanh Thanh Cong Group (TTC), said that renewable energy is a trend that the world is looking forward to it. Countries that have not been able to access renewable energy technologies have now benefited from following riders having the technologies, secrets, and confidence to access these technologies.
