Vietnam attaches great importance to international and regional cooperation, shares experiences in water resources management

From March 17 to 23, a delegation from the Ministry of Natural Resources and the Environment led by Vice Minister Tran Quy Kien attended the 8th World Water Forum in Brazil's capital Brasilia at the invitation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Brazil.
At the time of the event, the Vietnamese delegation actively participated in the important activities and events of the Forum, contributed many positive ideas to finalizing the Universal Declaration, contributing to the Declaration through the third working day of the Forum.
Members of the delegation actively participated in professional activities within the framework of the Forum such as participation in sessions on addressing water-energy relations (water – energy food) in Asia Pacific Ocean; Cross-border cooperation, sharing experiences from different regions; Extend the water security initiatives for Asia and the Pacific; Synthesis of progress from the Asia-Pacific region; Strategic crisis management for river basins in the Americas and Asia-Pacific.
In addition, Vice Minister Tran Quy Kien and the delegation paid time working and visited to the Embassy of Vietnam in Brazil, met and worked with a number of bilateral and multilateral partners, such as Australia, The United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) to exchange on issues of mutual interest. |
