Summary event of Can Tho Mekong startup project
In the morning of April 6, 2018, at the Dong Ha - Fortuneland Hotel in Can Tho, Start-up Community Project of Can Tho and Mekong Delta Region held a summary and evaluation of the project activity for the period of 2016-2018, aims to connect and create a forum for sharing information among organizations and individuals who have been working the project during the past operation and hope in the future will continue to build and develop a sustainable innovation startup ecosystem in the Mekong river delta.


The project is part of the Vietnam-Finland Innovation Partners Program, phase 2 of the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Finland Ministry of Foreign Affairs The Finnish funded start-up ecosystem development in Can Tho and the Mekong Delta from 4/2016 so far.

Attending the event, there were Mrs. Nguyen My Thuan - Permanent Vice Chairman - General Secretary of Can Tho City Business Association. Can Tho; Mrs. Phan Hoang Lan - Deputy Director of Marketing and Technology Development Department under Ministry of Science and Technology; Mrs. Nguyen Thi Thu Trang, representative of the Vietnam-Finland Innovation Partnership Program, IPP; Mrs. Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, representative of Vietnam-Finland Innovation Partnership Program, IPP; Mrs. Nguyen Thi An Nhan, representative of enterprise nursery; Dr. Marko Seppa, VCCO Investment Manager of Finland, IPP Advisor; Mr. Ly Dinh Quan, representative of Han-Da Nang enterprise nursery; Mr. Nguyen Phi Hai - Director of Soc Trang business incubator; Mr. Tran Ha Dong Hung - Deputy Director of Vietnam - Korea Business Incubator; and units in the Mekong Delta with start-up groups, investment funds, departments, colleges, youth support centers.

Attending this event, delegates listened to the opening speech of Mrs. Nguyen My Thuan - Permanent Vice Chairman - General Secretary of Can Tho City Business Association; Speech of Mrs. Nguyen Thi Thu Trang, IPP representative; Mr. Lam Sieu Hai's Mekong startup summary and evaluation report and speech of Dr. Marko Seppa, VCCO Fund Manager of Finland, IPP Advisor.

Within the framework of this event, the workshop was held on the topic of setting up local, regional, startups and state policies for the national start-up program, such as local approach and linkages, region and policies, role of the state. In addition, the delegates also visited the stores of the startup business at the workshop. Visiting and exchanging in the Vietnam-Korea technology incubator.



The event has created a forum for organizations and individuals who have worked with the project in the past to share information and will continue to build and sustainably develop the innovation startup ecosystem in the Mekong river delta.
