Ministry of Science and Technology recently held a press award ceremony on Science and Technology 2017 in Hanoi on May 15, 2018. This is the sixth competition that took place since 2012.

Attending the ceremony, there were Mr. Chu Ngoc Anh, Member of the Central Party Committee, Minister of Science and Technology; Mr. Hoang Van Phong, former Minister of Science and Technology; Mr. Pham Cong Tac, Deputy Minister of Science and Technology, Head of Organization Board of Science and Technology Press Awards 2017; Mr. Phung Duc Tien, Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Science, Technology and Environment of the National Assembly; Mr. Ho Quang Loi, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Journalist Association, Chairman of the Press Conference on Science and Technology Awards.

Over the past six years, the Organization Board of the Science and Technology Press Award received nearly 5,000 works. Works must undergo steps to receive registration, evaluation, selection and evaluation of the Organization Board includes the Preliminary Selection Council in the North, then South to the Final Selection Council.
