In recent years, the situation of air pollution and wastes in Ho Chi Minh City is increasing rapidly, especially the air indexes are exceeding the permitted level. According to the results of monitoring air pollution over the past time in Ho Chi Minh City at 20 locations, dust pollution, fine dust concentration (PM2.5) in the air is high.
The 'Fresh Air Day' event was organized to raise awareness about the impact of air pollution on children's health and development, as well as promote multidisciplinary cooperation solutions to find out joint solutions and action together.
Previously, a workshop on environmental topics for youth, advisors and teachers was also organized by UNICEF and Saigon Innovation Hub along with Clean Air Asia.
The organization Board have challenged young creators to identify problems at the local level that affect their health and development. The workshop gained a lot of creative solutions and these solutions will be exhibited and presented in the morning of the "Fresh Air Day" event.
Participants can also participate in further discussions on necessary actions, including through multi-stakeholder cooperation. "Clean Air Solutions" workshops took place in the afternoon.
The event will also publish U-Report's air pollution report and many other interesting activities. |
