Accordingly, activities of scientific research and technological development, especially the tasks of scientific and technological research towards application for socio-economic development of the City will be supported up to 100 % of total expense from the budget. Participants are scientific and technological organizations, schools, institutes and organizations with the function of scientific and technological research or science and technology enterprises.

In addition, Ho Chi Minh City Department of Science and Technology also has packages to support research activities to innovate, improve technologies, products or create new products and services to serve the market.
