On May 27, Ho Chi Minh City Department of Science and Technology organized the 6th Ho Chi Minh City Patent Award Ceremony. This year's award attracts many technical solutions from individuals and organizations. There are many inventions that are highly applicable.

At the awards ceremony, 8 inventions were honored with a total prize value of up to 160 million VND. Especially, among these, Assoc.Prof. Dr. Tran Doan Son, Lecturer of Department of Manufacturing Engineering (Faculty of Mechanical Engineering - Polytechnic University), has 'won' 3 prizes (1 second prize, 1 third prize and 1 Consolation prizes).

The award-winning inventions of Assoc.Prof. Dr. Tran Doan Son include: Noodle manufacturing equipment including water powder extrusion mechanism (second prize), round rice paper production equipment (third prize) and automatic roll rinsing cake production equipment  (consolation prizes).

Sharing at the awarding ceremony, Assoc.Prof. Dr. Tran Doan Son assessed that the inventions awarded this year are very diverse and rich in many fields. He also added that he has implemented 15 different inventions of intellectual property. These inventions are commercialized and technology transferred to individuals and businesses in Vietnam.
