The Ministry of Information and Communications is seeking ideas for the Government's Digital Development Strategy to 2025
The Ministry of Information and Communications is collecting opinions from ministries, branches and localities to complete the draft Government Resolution on the Government's construction and development for the period of 2021-2025, with an orientation to 2030. This will be the digital development strategy of Vietnam government in the coming period.


The Government's Resolution on the construction and development of the digital Government when issued will serve for ministries, branches and localities to formulate development plans for the period of 2021 - 2025.

The Politburo's Resolution No. 52 of September 27, 2019 on a number of guidelines and policies to actively participate in the fourth industrial revolution has determined the goal to basically complete digital transformation by 2025. Party, state agencies, Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations; by 2030, complete the construction of a digital government in Vietnam.

In Resolution No. 1 on January 1, 2020 on major tasks and solutions for implementing the Socio-Economic Development Plan and State Budget Estimation 2020, the Government stated: "Prioritizing resources, focus on effectively implementing the tasks of building an E-Government; promoting the application of IT, building an E-Government on the basis of administrative reform, focusing on people and businesses as the center, standard processes, towards digital government, digital economy and digital society."

The Government also assigned the Ministry of Information and Communications to lead the development of the E-Government development strategy for the period of 2021 - 2025, orientations to 2030 and the E-Government construction plan for the period of 2021 - 2025 .

Immediately before that, in directing the conference to summarize the work in 2019 and deploy the directions and tasks in 2020 of the information and communication industry on December 28, 2019, the Prime Minister requested the Ministry of Information and Communications from the beginning of the year 2020 needs to develop a strategy for e-government because "we determine this is a long way, through many periods and needs transparency, it is impossible that a year will be successful immediately."

Next, in concluding the online conference of February 12, 2020 of the National Committee on E-Government with the Steering Committee for the development of E-Government, e-government of ministries, branches, localities and the Prime Minister requested the Ministry of Information and Communications to focus on building the E-Government development strategy towards the Government for the period of 2021 - 2025, with orientation to 2030.

Carrying out the assigned task, the Ministry of Information and Communications has urgently built a draft Government Resolution on construction and development of the Government for the period of 2021-2025, with orientation to 2030.
