Application of digital technology in propaganda and traffic safety education is a contest launched by the Southern Department of Work, Ministry of Science and Technology. The competition aims to find innovative products based on the Internet of Things (IoT) and artificial intelligence (AI) in propaganda and education of traffic safety awareness.

According to Mr. Pham Xuan Da, Director of the Southern Work, Ministry of Science and Technology, the competition is both a playground to respond to the Government's Decree 100 and implement urgent measures to stabilize the life of people after the Covid-19 pandemic.

"The main purpose of the competition is to create a spread for people to pay attention and raise awareness when participating in traffic," Mr. Pham Xuan Da emphasized.

Participants are Vietnamese citizens aged 16 and above living, studying and working in southern provinces, cities, and other provinces throughout the country.

The content of the contest consists of two parts: Creative Ideas and Creative Products. In the Creative Idea section, contestants will present initiatives on propaganda, education, supervision and handling of traffic safety violations; organizational models, safe transport solutions, traffic congestion, etc in provinces, localities and residential areas, or current situations that are happening in social reality.

For Creative Products, the contest is software, application of information technology in traffic safety propaganda and education. Contestants send their products and product descriptions to the Contest Organization Board.
