Strongly handle fake and pirated textbooks
Since the study year 2020-2021, Vietnam has officially implemented the use of many textbooks in teaching and learning. Taking advantage of this thing, a number of subjects have produced and traded pirated, fake and poor quality textbooks to escape to the market.

Officials of Hanoi Market Management Department inspected illegal book production facilities.

Implementing the direction of the General Department of Market Management (QLTT) on strengthening the coordination in market inspection and control over printing, distribution and circulation of standard publications and textbooks being serviced for the new school year 2020-2021, recently, the Market Management force repeatedly discovered the number of "huge" educational books that were illegally printed or even counterfeitly printed.

Typically, the Hanoi Market Management force has temporarily seized nearly 2.3 tons of covers and semi-finished books named Vietnam Education Publishing House with signs of illegally printing at a workshop on Dinh Thon Street, My Dinh 1 Ward, Nam Tu Liem district, Hanoi. Previously, this force had discovered and seized 27,200 textbooks of all kinds with signs of being counterfeited at gathering facilities No. 87, Thinh Liet Street, Lane 1141 Giai Phong, Hoang Mai District, Hanoi, belonging to Cong Hung Phat Limited Company.

According to the representative of the General Department of Market Management, this is the largest number of educational books with signs of counterfeiting ever discovered in Hanoi. All of these books are being packaged, brought to market with barcodes, anti-counterfeiting stamps are very sophisticated.

This is only one of the typical cases where Market Management  detected counterfeit and fake educational books. According to the representative of the General Department of Market Management, illegal and fake printing takes place with increasing scale. Remarkably, the subjects also use sophisticated tricks, such as sticking bar codes, anti-counterfeiting stamps, making it difficult for consumers to distinguish with the naked eye. Only when using the scanning equipment can it be known as fake books.
