Attending the training course, the trainees are equipped with general knowledge about ionizing radiation; interaction of radiation with matter; radiation measurement; biological effects of radiation; protection against external irradiation; working principles of industrial nuclear control equipment, screening equipment, analyzing equipment using radiation sources and related radiation safety issues; guidance on ensuring radiation safety in the transport of radioactive sources; medical diagnostic X-ray equipment operating principles and related radiation safety issues; aspects related to optimizing radiation safety in medical diagnostic radiographs; guidelines to ensure radiation safety in medical radiographs; system of legal regulations on radiation safety assurance; occupational irradiation control and public irradiation; requirements to ensure radioactive security; radiation incident response plan; exchange of questioning solutions; organize radiation safety management at the facility; guide to planning the grassroots-level radiation incident response; guide the radiation work declaration and permit, and grant radiation personnel certificates; quality management system for radiation work, facilities conducting radiation work and nuclear facilities.

At the end of the class, participants have an end-of-course test and are certified by the Department of Radiation and Nuclear Safety to complete the training course.
