The People's Committee of Thua Thien Hue province has just issued the plan and rules for the Provincial Innovation Startup Contest in 2021.

Accordingly, the competition subjects are organizations, groups of individuals with ideas and fast-growing start-up projects based on the exploitation of intellectual property, technology, and new business models of implementation and development in Thua Thien Hue province.

For start-up enterprises with operation registration period not exceeding 5 years from the date of first issuance of the Business Registration Certificate. Each organization, group of individuals, individuals and start-up businesses can participate in one or more innovative ideas and projects.

Criteria for scoring startup ideas and projects, including: Innovation; Commercialization ability, growth ability; Completed business model/plan; Implementation resources; Level of impact and socio-economic significance of ideas and projects; Presentation ability (for finalists) and other criteria related to feasibility and effectiveness.

The contest will have 3 rounds. In the preliminary round, the secretariat reviews the application to ensure the conditions for the contest in terms of content and form; then the Jury Council considers and evaluates each application according to the prescribed scale.

In addition, the winning applications for the Contest are given priority to support selection according to Decision No. 7/2021/QD-UBND dated February 24, 2021 of Thua Thien Hue Provincial People's Committee promulgating regulations on the content and level of support expenses of the EE ecosystem in the province until 2025.

According to the People's Committee of Thua Thien Hue province, the contest aims to encourage and build the spirit of innovation for young people, pupils, students, lecturers, scientists, investors, businesses and people in the province, the spread of startup spirit in the community.

Thereby, selecting, searching, selecting, honoring and incubating potential innovative ideas and projects, contributing to the realization of startup ideas and projects; focus on science and technology, information technology.
