Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam spoke at the National Youth Startup Forum in 2022
In the opening speech, Standing Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Youth Union Nguyen Ngoc Luong said: After the first National Startup Youth Forum in 2018 and the second in 2020, many policies have been developed by ministries and sectors, adjusted to promote the development of startups. Currently, Vietnam is still in the process of recovering from the comprehensive and far-reaching effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. However, with solidarity and consensus, we are trying to overcome and gradually restore the growth momentum of the economy. In that context, this Forum is held with the desire to play the role of connecting and creating to find innovative and breakthrough solutions to accelerate the process of socio-economic recovery in Vietnam. The forum will continue to receive many quality initiatives and solutions, to contribute to perfecting the startup ecosystem in Vietnam, thereby creating a driving force for the youth startup community to accompany the country to overcome its challenges after the pandemic.
Speaking at the Forum, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam highly appreciated the ideas and solutions proposed by the delegates in order to continue to contribute to improving the environment, promoting the completion of the innovation startup ecosystem in Vietnam; promoting the youth startup community to accompany the country to overcome challenges after the pandemic; At the same time, he wants Vietnamese young people to continue living responsibly with themselves, their families and society, nurturing their startup and innovation aspirations, thereby helping the country develop. Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam emphasized that, in order to continue the process of economic recovery and development after the pandemic, striving to turn Vietnam into a high-middle-income country, young people are one of the most important forces. Therefore, it is necessary to continue to nurture and promote the spirit of legitimate enrichment in each young person in particular as well as the Vietnamese people in general and create the most favorable conditions for startup and innovation activities; thereby contributing to increasing the national competitiveness as well as improving Vietnam's competitiveness indexes in the international arena, such as the index on business environment, on sustainable development, on the development of the market; at the same time demonstrating the Government's commitment to support and the enhancement of legal quality.
At the forum, leaders of ministries and branches exchanged and shared about mechanisms, policies, and solutions to support youth start-ups, creating excitement for the youth community to start a business. Supporting policies for digital transformation startups, Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment Tran Duy Dong said that the ministry is currently coordinating with relevant units to implement a project to support digital transformation for small and medium enterprises, with the goal of selecting 100 small and medium enterprises to support the entire cost of digital transformation solutions, consulting in fields, including logistics and etc. by 2025. |
