Comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda Department chaired the conference.

Also attending meetng, there were members of the Party Central Committee: Lai Xuan Mon, Standing Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department, Chairman of the Scientific Council of the Party Central Committee; Le Quoc Minh, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association.

Speaking at the conference, Secretary of the Party Central Committee and Head of the Central Committee's Propaganda Department Nguyen Trong Nghia acknowledged and highly appreciated the achievements of the Scientific Council of the Central Party's agencies over the past half term.

Head of the Central Propaganda Department Nguyen Trong Nghia suggested that in the coming time, the Council needs to be deeply aware of the role, meaning and importance of scientific activities, scientific research, and service strategic advice of the Central Party organs.

From the beginning of the term until now, the Council has achieved many outstanding results. The Council performs the task of advising and orienting scientific activities, contributing to helping Central Party committees and agencies do well in advising and assisting the Central Committee, the Politburo, and the Secretariat. The Standing Committee of the Council has drastically directed innovative solutions, content of scientific operation methods, in which there are high requirements for applicability and research results to serve the strategic consulting work.

At the conference, the Central Committee for Propaganda and Education announced the Decision on the composition of the Scientific Council of Central Party organs for the term of 2021-2026, including 26 people, in which, the Standing Deputy Head of the Central Committee for Propaganda and Training Lai Xuan Mon is the Chairman of the Council; 5 Vice Chairman and 20 Council members.
