The Ministry of Information and Communications officially launched the Press Digital Transformation Support Center
At the regular press conference of the Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC) held in Hanoi in the evening of 5-6, MIC officially launched the Media Digital Transformation Support Center; announced a set of indices to evaluate the maturity level of media digital transformation and introduced an online portal for software tools to assess and measure the maturity level of media digital transformation.


On May 6, 2023, the Prime Minister issued Decision No. 348/QD-TTg on approving the Strategy "Digital Transformation of the Press by 2025, Oriented towards 2030". This is a significant event in providing an important guideline for the development of press agencies in the digital transformation process. On May 8, 2023, Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Manh Hung signed Decision No. 781/QD-BTTTT on issuing the Action Plan to implement the Strategy for digital transformation of the press by 2025, oriented towards 2030.

Regarding the establishment of the Media Digital Transformation Support Center, Mr. Luu Dinh Phuc, Director of the Press Department, Ministry of Information and Communications, informed: Media digital transformation is using technology to solve the problems of media agencies, to provide a good customer experiences, to increase the number of viewers and listeners, thereby increasing advertising revenue, and effectively serving propaganda work.

The Center for Media Digital Transformation Support (a department located at the Press Department) will help media agencies effectively achieve the digital transformation goals outlined in the Media Digital Transformation Strategy by 2025, with a vision towards 2030.

The center is the hub that supports providing information, documents, and guidance to media agencies in implementing measurements, assessing the maturity level of digital media transformation; connecting, gathering reputable experts, researchers, and leaders of media agencies in leading roles to jointly address the issues posed by the digital media transformation process; providing practical support for activities, such as training, workshops to enhance awareness, knowledge, skills; mobilizing resources from businesses to accompany the goals of the digital media transformation support program.

At the press conference, the Ministry of Information and Communications also issued a set of evaluation indices to measure the level of digital transformation maturity in the media. These indices help media agencies determine which stage they are at in the digital transformation process, so they can develop a roadmap, plan, and appropriate digital transformation solutions to innovate effectively and achieve the objectives of the Media Digital Transformation Strategy by 2025, aiming towards 2030.
