At the meeting, the two Ministers shared each country's major development strategic orientations on digital economy and digital transformation, and discussed new initiatives and cooperation programs to expand cooperative activities between the two ministries and organizations and businesses of the two countries.

Chinese Minister of Industry and Information Technology Kim Trang Long expressed his pleasure in meeting Minister Nguyen Manh Hung again after the previous meeting in December 2023, appreciating the activities the two sides are carrying out to implement the project. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on cooperation between the two Ministries was signed at the end of 2023 on the occasion of the official visit to Vietnam by General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping.

In the context of new technology applications being commercialized very quickly, promoting the digital transformation of industries, the two Ministers agreed to continue promoting cooperation between relevant organizations and businesses of the two sides, especially testing and applying technologies, such as automation, AI, and 5G applications in various fields. The two Ministers also agreed to increase the exchange of delegations of leaders and experts from both sides, organize seminars and thematic forums to share information and exchange, and open up cooperation potentials.
