In order to evaluate the city-level acceptance of the science and technology project "Research on the situation of puberty and some issues on reproductive health care of female high school students in Can Tho city", Can Tho City Department of Science and Technology held a Council meeting in the afternoon of August 9, 2024. MSc. Tran Hoai Phuong - Deputy Director of Can Tho City Department of Science and Technology was the Chairman of the Council. The study was carried out by Dr. Nguyen Tan Dat. Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy was an implementing agency.

mvfr5The project aims to determine the rate of puberty and study some factors related to puberty before the age of 11 in female junior high school students in Can Tho City; Determine knowledge and correct practices of reproductive health care of female students who have reached puberty and propose communication and education interventions on reproductive health care for female students.
Council's members
The content of the project includes: Determining puberty age and puberty rate; Determining factors related to puberty before age 11 in female junior high school students in Can Tho city; Determining knowledge and correct practices on reproductive health care of female students who have reached puberty; Proposing a communication and education intervention model for reproductive health care of female students.
Research team
The results of the study on reproductive health care for female secondary school students in Can Tho City showed that issues, such as psychological changes and menstrual cramps are significant challenges. Thereby, emphasizing the need for intensive education and counseling activities as well as comprehensive nutrition and health support to help students overcome this period in a healthy way.
The Council has evaluated and accepted the project. However, the research team needs to edit and complete some contents in the report according to the comments of the Council members. |
