Finding solutions to develop smart factories
On August 28, Ho Chi Minh City Business Association (HUBA) coordinated with the Department of Industry and Trade, Department of Science and Technology, and Ho Chi Minh City Information Technology Association to organize a workshop with the theme "Solutions for smart factories."


The workshop aims to introduce and provide the business community with the latest information on the current situation, solutions, support policies related to the issue of building and developing smart factory models in the industrial production sector in Ho Chi Minh City.
According to Associate Professor, Dr. Thoai Nam (Polytechnic University, Ho Chi Minh National University), a smart factory is an integrated system that combines physical and digital technologies to create a connected and intelligent production environment. Thanks to that, the production process allows real-time monitoring, data-based decision making and autonomous production, and etc.
The global smart manufacturing market is expected to grow at a CAGR of more than 13% over the next seven years, reaching a total value of approximately $658.41 billion by 2030.
According to several surveys, the majority of respondents believe that smart technology will increase their organization’s competitiveness. Previously, only large enterprises could afford to access or benefit from smart technology, but smart manufacturing has become more accessible to small and medium-sized enterprises in recent years.
In addition, experts have also provided a lot of new information about smart manufacturing. According to experts, the main trend of industrial production in the world today and in the future is Industry 5.0.
