One of the important characteristics of technology in the 4.0 era is the ability to create thousands of applications and products from a single platform technology. Previously, a technology was often associated with only one specific product. Therefore, the need for innovation becomes clearer than ever; it allows to exploit the full potential of technology, creating different applications in many different fields, businesses and organizations.

Vietnam is in the process of digital transformation, which is a favorable environment for the development of science and technology and innovation. Digital transformation is not only a trend but also a development goal of science and technology/innovation, helping to stimulate GDP growth and improve the national position. The Law on Science and Technology 2013 will be amended to emphasize the role of innovation on par with science and technology, marking an important step forward in the practical application of scientific knowledge, thereby creating practical value for the Vietnamese economy and society.
