The purpose of the working session was to assess the implementation of Resolution No. 45-NQ/TW on building and promoting the role of intellectuals, as well as Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW on breakthroughs in the development of science, technology and national innovation. These resolutions are considered to be of strategic significance in promoting the knowledge economy and global integration in the new period.

At the meeting, VNU Party Secretary and President Le Quan emphasized that implementing these resolutions is not only a political responsibility but also an opportunity for VNU to affirm its central role in training, research and innovation. He expressed his wish that VNU be autonomous in recruiting human resources, deciding on tuition fees, and being allowed to use public assets in cooperation to exploit resources for development. VNU-Hanoi also prioritizes the development of basic sciences and engineering, along with scholarship policies for 18 majors in the fields of natural and social sciences. Training quality is always guaranteed, with graduates from talented and high-quality programs receiving recognition from international businesses and universities, affirming their professional capacity and outstanding integration ability.
