This goal is part of the plan to implement Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation. Dong Nai aims to form strategic technology centers, such as semiconductors, data centers, artificial intelligence, Internet of Things, big data, cloud computing, blockchain, and at the same time attract at least one large digital technology enterprise in the world to invest and produce locally.
Data projects based on data center infrastructure and cloud computing will also be strongly developed in Long Thanh Digital Industrial Park and neighboring areas, to promote cross-border data storage, transfer and processing services, thereby contributing to the province's economic growth in the fields of productivity, high-tech exports and digital economic scale. Dong Nai also determined the proportion of the digital industry to account for 35 to 37% of GRDP, with the rate of online public service use by people and businesses reaching over 80%, while allocating at least 3% of the total annual budget for activities related to science, technology, innovation and digital transformation, thereby building a modern, high-speed digital infrastructure platform.
In the process of achieving this goal, the Standing Committee of Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee has proactively led, organized research, thoroughly grasped and proposed key groups of solutions to promote digital technology development. The province has invited experts and investors, especially in accelerating the deployment of 5G infrastructure - an essential step to improve data transmission capacity and digital services.
To date, Dong Nai has had about 3,550 mobile base stations covering 100% of residential areas, hamlets, and neighborhoods, contributing to ensuring effective information communication in serving socio-economic development and people's lives. Regarding digital infrastructure for administrative agencies, the province has invested more than 1,400 billion VND in many digital transformation projects, meeting the requirements of the period of 2023-2028, including the formation of a synchronous database system, closely connected with residents and land, contributing to improving local management capacity and public services. |
