Hue sought new momentum from private economy
In the morning of June 6, the People's Committee of Hue City held a conference on "Promoting the private economy, a new driving force for the city's development" to implement Resolution No.68 of the Politburo. The event is an opportunity for the government to listen to business opinions, thereby building more "close-to-home" policies to promote growth in the integration period.

Currently, Hue has more than 6,300 enterprises, over 95% of which are small and medium enterprises, contributing about 70% of the local budget revenue. This area is strongly "encroaching" on technology, e-commerce, clean agriculture and digital transformation.

At the Conference, the representative of the Ministry of Finance emphasized: The private economy should be considered a long-term direction, suitable for the characteristics of each locality. The Hue business community also made many practical recommendations. Three key groups of solutions were proposed including: increasing access to capital and developing a flexible financial ecosystem; training human resources with digital skills and innovative thinking; and inspiring the spirit of startup and legitimate enrichment.

Some opinions also suggested that the city support business households to become enterprises, increase the connection between government-enterprises-universities to form an innovation ecosystem serving sustainable development. Hue City government committed to accepting the recommendations, thereby perfecting the policy, putting Resolution No. 68 into practice more effectively.
