International experts discussed AI transformation in Vietnam
Digital transformation cannot be done alone, but requires international cooperation to shorten the time, create new models and values. At the workshop "From Digital Transformation to Artificial Intelligence Transformation" on June 17, Dr. Nguyen Thanh Hoa, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Digital Transformation Center, emphasized the role of international experience sharing and global cooperation in this process.

At the event, there were many partners from Google, AI Singapore and government organizations, businesses, scientists, aiming to promote the development of the digital economy and build a smart urban platform.

Ho Chi Minh City is facing a historic opportunity to expand its area and population when merging with Ba Ria – Vung Tau and Binh Duong. This places higher demands on management, administrative procedures and operations in the digital environment. Digital transformation and artificial intelligence (AI) have become mandatory factors to build a modern city, while knowledge transfer among institutes, schools and businesses plays a key role in innovation and sustainable development according to the Government's preferential policies.

Within the framework of the event, AI Education and its partners introduced AI training programs in Vietnamese, aiming to train 72,000 workers, with a special focus on 15,000 medical staff, to promote inclusive and equitable AI and develop the digital economy in Vietnam. Mr. Do Tran Binh Minh emphasized that this journey requires joint efforts and strategic cooperation to bring AI closer to workers and businesses, contributing to building a sustainable, ethical and responsible digital industrial future.
