On August 31, 2023, the Department of Science and Technology coordinated with the National Office of Intellectual Property to organize a training class "Managing and exploiting innovations" for more than 300 delegates who are representatives of management agencies and businesses, institutes, schools, hospitals, associations, unions, related organizations and individuals in the city.

To effectively manage intellectual property, enterprises need to ensure the availability of resources, including skilled human resources. Enterprises need to identify, provide and ensure the availability of human resources needed for IP asset management.

Intellectual property management includes activities aimed at forming, developing and exploiting intellectual property; preserve, protect and develop the value of intellectual property; management and use of revenue from commercial exploitation of intellectual property.

On August 22, 2023, in Ben Tre, the delegation of the Department of Science and Technology of Ho Chi Minh City had a meeting with Ben Tre Department of Science and Technology on coordinating to implement a number of contents on operation and development of Ben Tre Brand Space, connecting with localities in the Mekong Delta to promote technology transfer.

Recently, Hai Phong City Department of Science and Technology held a conference to disseminate and propagate the law on intellectual property. Deputy Director of Hai Phong Department of Science and Technology Pham Thi Sen Quynh presided the conference. Attending the conference, there were Deputy Head of the Legal and Policy Department under the National Office of Intellectual Property (Ministry of Science and Technology) Hoang Anh, along with representatives of departments, agencies and sectors in Hai Phong city.

On August 10, 2023, Ho Chi Minh City Department of Science and Technology held a training course "Exploiting industrial property information in the assessment of infringement of rights to industrial designs, trademarks and practical issues need to be noted in the assessment and handling of disputes over industrial property rights" for officials and civil servants who enforce the protection of intellectual property rights in the area of Ho Chi Minh City. The training course attracted more than 60 trainees from units under the City Police, the City Market Management Department and the City Customs Department.

On August 11, 2023, Ho Chi Minh City Department of Science and Technology organized a training course on "Trade names, trademarks and practical issues to be noted in business registration" for employees who are officials and civil servants in charge of granting business registration licenses and handling trade name disputes are under the Department of Planning and Investment as well as districts and Thu Duc City with nearly 50 trainees.

On July 28, 2023, the Department of Science and Technology of Ca Mau province held a workshop: "Solutions for management and development of collective trademarks and geographical indications in Ca Mau province" to exchange and discuss issues related to the exploitation and protection of certification trademarks, collective trademarks and geographical indications; brand development solutions associated with the value chain for key products of Ca Mau province; solutions to manage and develop intellectual property, remove the limitations, difficulties and obstacles of the province.

On August 1, 2023, Can Tho City Department of Science and Technology coordinated with the Institute of Science and Intellectual Property to organize a training session on "Improving the capacity to manage, implement, exploit information and use industrial property services” for more than 100 delegates from businesses, organizations and individuals in Can Tho city.
