In the first months of 2024, Can Tho City has promoted digital transformation solutions, thereby achieving positive results in many fields. Currently, all levels and sectors of the city are focusing on implementing the Digital Transformation Plan 2024 with the goal of improving the effectiveness and efficiency of state agencies' operations based on the digital environment; create motivation to contribute to improving the city's competitiveness and developing the digital economy, promoting innovation.
After graduating from Can Tho University in information technology, Ms. Le Thi Mai Dinh, 30 years old, in area 6, An Binh ward, Ninh Kieu district, and her friends contributed capital to open a photocopy shop inside the headquarters of People's Committee of An Binh ward. So far, Ms. Mai Dinh's model has brought a good income.
Ho Chi Minh City Innovation and Startup Award (I-Star) is an annual award organized by Ho Chi Minh City Department of Science and Technology under the chairmanship of the City People's Committee. The award not only honors organizations and individuals with outstanding achievements in the field of innovation and startup, but also, to encourage the spirit of creativity and create favorable conditions to improve quality in the community.
In order to meet the needs of organizations and individuals that have one of the necessary conditions to request a competent authority to issue a license to use X-ray equipment and irradiation equipment, Can Tho City Science ad Technology Information Center under Can Tho City Department of Science and Technology coordinated with Hanoi Irradiation Center to organize the training class "Radiation Safety" from May 8-9, 2024, at the Center's Hall.
With the goal of training workers to have necessary first aid skills as prescribed in Circular No. 19/2016/TT-BYT dated June 30, 2016 of the Ministry of Health, Can Tho City Science and Technology Information Center coordinated with Safety Operations One Member Company Limited to organize a training class "First aid skills", on May 3, 2024, at the Center's Hall.

In the morning of May 12, Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union organized the final round of the 33rd "Ho Chi Minh City Youth Informatics Contest" in 2024 at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education.
Within the framework of the activities of Creative Student Day 2024, the Vietnamese Student Association of Ho Chi Minh City coordinated with Youth Science and Technology Development Center (under Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union) to organize a workshop "Students with scientific research". The workshop has the companionship of Ho Chi Minh City Department of Science and Technology; Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education is an implementation unit.
In the afternoon of May 2, the Organization Board of the Competition coordinated with the Department of Education and Training to organize a program to launch the first Robocon Competition in Bac Giang province, 2024.
The VinFuture Global Science and Technology Award for 2024 has officially closed its nomination process with a total of 1,469 submissions recorded.
