The study at corrosion protection inside concrete on the simulation model of coastal tidal conditions
Topics by author Phan Thi Anh Dao, Nguyen Thanh Loc - University of Technology, Vietnam National University - HCM conducted to find a solution for effective corrosion protection of concrete structures in the status of up and down tidal waters


The author has applied these methods to protect various metals including environmental remediation, concrete and steel handle steel as scanned and pressed oxygen, electrochemical protection. Corrosion assessment methods include: tensile test method (TCV 1824 - 1993) (6) and polarization resistance method (AMTM 59-97 (2003)) (7).

Research results show that the concrete samples should be protected by combining two methods, such combined methods of scanned and pressed oxygen on bars and cathode protection method or using self-compacting concrete combination with cathode protection. The use of inhibitors had some good results for many years. However, for long year works there will be no long-term protective effect.
