The objective of the theme assesses the operation status and the level of contribution to the private economics sector to economic and social development in Can Tho city; to perform analysis of business activities and other factors affecting the performance business activities of the private economy sector in Can Tho city. The author learned, assessed the competitiveness of the private economy according to the scale and in field operations in Can Tho city. Thereby, the author proposed the strategic and feasible solutions to improve the efficiency of business operations, to increase competitiveness in private economy sector in Can Tho city.

Successful implementation of the theme will be a basis for departments and agencies  (Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Can Tho Trade and Industry Department, Can Tho People’ Committee,...) to grasp the actual situation of the advantages, disadvantages of different kinds of private economy sector and to take supported direction, solutions and policies to the economy. Output of results will offer practical and possible solutions to help the kinds of private economy sector to strengthen the competitive advantage in the market.
