This device’s name is ITClamp designed by Dr. Dennis Filips after three trips to Afghanistan to serve injured Canadian soldiers Navy. Thanks to this invention, Filips has won top awards in creative Summit Life Science and Medical Care in New York last week.

With ITClamp, anyone, any doctors or soldiers, may also take care to injure by themselves in a few seconds. ITClamp will help prevent massive bleeding, pneumothorax and respiratory failure, thereby minimizing the risk of death for people with injuries. In particular, this hemostatic clamp can replace tourniquet at any time, by the use of compact and even the injured area in a difficult position tourniquet band.

Current ITClam is being sent to the management agencies, including specifically the Food and Drug Administration U.S. States, for consideration and approval. It is expected that the device will launch later this year for $ 65 dollars.
