Recently Fujifilm firms, also a very famous brand from Japan, said they researched a new technology to help create the optical disc with a capacity of 1TB, and a maximum of up to 15TB.
Although Fujifilm has yet to said more the technology, but they claim their new optical disc that can hold up to 25 GB of disk space in a layers, so that each plate up to 20 layers on on the one hand, that is, we will have one the same DVD disk capacities up to 1 TB.
The technology of Fujifilm will use laser 2 photons coordinate (Two-Photon Absorption) to write the data to disk. Fujifilm says their new technology can create the optical disc with a capacity of up to 15TB, and they hope to be able to start to commercialize a disk 1 TB in 2015 and larger after 2015.
