Oyster breeding season of this year, Mr Hoang confidently invested for 5 tons of oyster variety with quantity of 60 oysters /kg, investment price of 10-15 thousand VND /kg for 12 boxes (60 square meters for each box). After breeding more than 5 months, he harvested 10 tons of oysters with price of 20.000-25.000 VND/Kg, subtracting all expenditures; he still got profits over 100 million VND.

According to real experiences of oyster breeding farmers, oyster is a slow-moving creature with simple raising techniques. “Oyster farming is not as efficient as other aquatic objects, but once it is invested, the farmer will get sure profits. In the last several years, our family has only raised oysters because it doesn’t require costs of foodstuff, seldom sick, inconsiderable loss rate so we are richer and richer.” Mr Dong said.

Currently, oyster farming in Cam Phuc Bac ward has attracted about 40 participant households. Most farmers raise oysters that having high interest. However, people worry so much about oyster variety because variety resource is mainly exploited in the nature so it is very passive.
